现任华中科技大学二级教授、博士生导师、同济医学院计划生育研究所原所长、武汉同济生殖医学专科医院院长、湖北省人口和计划生育科研所所长、湖北省精子库主任、同济医学院生殖医学中心主任、国家生殖健康与不孕不育药物临床研究机构主任、武汉市避孕节育工程技术研究中心主任、避孕节育湖北省工程实验室主任。

：在国内外有影响的期刊上发表论文200多篇。获国家发明专利5 项。主编国家“十一五”规划教材等十几部大型专著，曾获中华医学科技奖、湖北省科技进步二等奖、武汉市科技进步奖、中国图书奖等多项奖项。
